I'm Daniel Carlyle, a Toronto Web Designer and Developer. I maintain websites and have designed websites for clients such as regulusengineering.ca, kouraba.org, thefitnessbrokers.ca, jacheairs.com, shawboxing.com and kgdglobal.com.
Semantic, well-coded HTML5 pairs well with Accessibility standards and even SEO best practices. Google crawlers love clean code. I stay on track of current web standards and coding principles – keeping sites simple and easy to read, both in content and code.
Work changes — constantly. I stay fluid and flexible, able to work against project creep. I "roll with the punches" and adapt to new requests quickly and promptly. Ask my clients, I am quick to respond to update requests and revisions.
I am a Webmaster with more than 6+ years of experience maintaining website content, writing and editing content, updating static HTML5 and CMS sites(WordPress/Joomla/Squarespace/Drupal), blogging, ghostwriting, implementing SEO campaigns, consultating clients, and uploading and migrating assets to websites.
Front-End Web Design and Development, Responsive and Mobile Design, using Wordpress as the main platform or a static HTML site, HTML5 and CSS3, Coding Visual Design and Layout Project Management and Client Relations, Writing and Editing for online content.
With a background in Communications and Public Relations, I have a strong grasp of writing and editing for the web. I have generated a variety of online content, from web copy to blog articles to technical writing, even truncating academic writing to web-friendly copy.
I have created logos for several clients and provide a variety of early prototypes in order to nail down the right concept and ensure you get the right logo that speaks to your brand.
From websites to business cards to logos to posters, I love design and layout and want to help you get the right creative assets for your business and style.
I like to write clean, readable, workable code that is both semantic and web accessible for all types of users. I also realize the importance of adopting fluid SEO practices and using a variety of techniques to bolster website exposure and presence.
Design, be it print or web or visual, often starts off simple. And throughout the course of design and development, the tenets of simple design rings true.
With a shift to material and flat design, the front-facing web world seeks easy comprehension in mobile-first design design. I start simple and build from the ground up, helping you to find the best solution for your site, but more importantly for your client's expectations.
